If you've never been to The Center Church, joining us for one of our Sunday services is a great place to start!
Sunday services at The Center are focused around knowing and becoming more like Jesus Christ. Expect engaging biblical and practical teaching, upbeat and heartfelt worship through music, stories of changed lives, and opportunities to connect with others around a cup of coffee.
We offer experiences that are age-appropriate for your entire family. During the services, your kids (infant-5th grade) are invited to Center Kids where they'll enjoy Jesus-centered teaching, music, games, and so much more!

GROW DEEPER WITH GOD, OTHERS, AND THE WORLD.
If you are looking to grow deeper with Jesus and get to know those around you - join a group. Many of our groups are designed to connect you with others in similar stages of life. They meet in people's homes all over the Grand Rapids area at different times and different days. Many of our groups also offer childcare.
No matter what your weekly schedule looks like, and what stage of life you are in, we can help you find the perfect group that will help you take steps in your discipleship to Jesus.
OUR WHY
OUr Story
In 2006, Compass Church was planted by a group of Jesus-followers who became passionate about reaching their community. A decade later, Compass was presented with the opportunity to merge with Frontline Church (Plainfield) to continue to move the mission forward. This was the deciding factor in the name change to The Center Church.
Almost 15 years later, we are still a community of people centered on Jesus and the radical grace He gives - no matter who you are, where you are from, or what you have done.
OUR vision
In October of 2015, Frontline Church was challenged by an ambitious sermon series called the ZERO CAMPAIGN, which forever changed the trajectory of our church. These ZEROs represent what we want to see accomplished in our community:
ZERO needs among us
ZERO lost people
ZERO unconnected people
ZERO gods before him
ZERO unfulfilled callings
Since that series, we can't help but filter everything we do at The Center Church through the lens of these five ZEROs. We have realized that our mission as a Church is not complete until ZERO LIVES are unchanged by Jesus Christ.
