Why the Gideon Campaign?

This campaign was inspired by the story of Gideon found in Judges 6-8. In the midst of what looked like defeat, God empowered a weak farmer to take back ground that the enemy had stolen. We believe in our, sometimes countercultural, obedience to God, we will take back ground in our community. It was Gideon’s bold faith and doing exactly what God asked him to do that led to a brighter future for God’s people.

Where is this space located?

This is a former retail unit located in the Family Fare Plaza off 84th St/Byron Center Ave in Byron Center, MI. We believe this location is best positioned for community impact, exposure, and future expansion.

How big is this space?

The unit is 2800 square feet.

Are we already committed to this space? Have we signed a lease?

Yes. We signed a 3-5-year lease on October 26.

How much money do we need to complete the buildout?

We currently have $130k in the bank towards The Gideon Campaign and through pledges, will hope to receive full amount of the estimated cost throughout the next year.

When do we move in?

Our dream would be to celebrate our Christmas Eve services in our new space but if you’ve ever built a house (or anything from IKEA), you know that building projects take longer than planned. Our aim would be to celebrate a Grand Opening by Easter 2021.
