We exist to see zero lives unchanged by Jesus.
SUNDAYS MATTER
If you've never been to The Center Church, joining us for one of our Sunday services is a great place to start. We engage the Scriptures each week, worship through modern music and prayer, share stories of changed lives, and create space to develop relationships. We can’t wait love to meet you.
We offer intentional spaces for your entire family. During the services, your kids (infant-5th grade) are invited to Center Kids where they'll enjoy Jesus-centered teaching, music, games, and a loving team of leaders!
A PEOPLE AFTER GOD’S OWN PRESENCE
OUR STORY
In 2006, Compass Church was planted by a group of Jesus-followers who became passionate about reaching their community. A decade later, Compass was presented with the opportunity to merge with Frontline Church (Plainfield) to continue to move the mission forward. Following the merger, a rebranding campaign and new leadership paved the way for The Center Church name.
Nearly 18 years later, we are still a community of people centered on Jesus and His power to change a life - no matter who you are, where you are from, or what you have done.
Our people
We need each other. If you are looking to grow deeper with Jesus and get to know Center Church, we want to you to join us for CORE. This is a simple 2 hour experience where you can learn more about Center, get to know others, and learn more about our vision and how you can play a role.
Current teaching
A son at rock bottom, collapsed in rags, buries his head in the warm embrace of his father’s weathered hands. A father welcomes his lost son home, pouring out his love with lavish, sacrificial generosity. In the shadows, the elder brother stands stiff and distant, equally lost as he wrestles with a hardened heart. One of Jesus’ most famous parables captured in one of Rembrandt’s most famous paintings is an invitation to see ourselves in every figure on that canvas: the rebellious younger son, the resentful older brother, and the compassionate father. Because within each of us stirs a deep longing for home and a joyful feast of celebration in being found.
