We exist to see zero lives unchanged by Jesus.

SUNDAYS MATTER

If you've never been to The Center Church, joining us for one of our Sunday services is a great place to start. We engage the Scriptures each week, worship through modern music and prayer, share stories of changed lives, and create space to develop relationships. We can’t wait love to meet you.

We offer intentional spaces for your entire family. During the services, your kids (infant-5th grade) are invited to Center Kids where they'll enjoy Jesus-centered teaching, music, games, and a loving team of leaders!

OUR STORY

In 2006, Compass Church was planted by a group of Jesus-followers who became passionate about reaching their community. A decade later, Compass was presented with the opportunity to merge with Frontline Church (Plainfield) to continue to move the mission forward. Following the merger, a rebranding campaign and new leadership paved the way for The Center Church name.

Nearly 18 years later, we are still a community of people centered on Jesus and His power to change a life - no matter who you are, where you are from, or what you have done.

Current teaching

Is fear a good thing or bad thing? Is it something to embrace or to flee? It seems like everyone is talking about a culture of fear. We fret about global terrorism, extreme weather, pandemics, and political turmoil. In political campaigns, we routinely see fear rhetoric used by politicians because fear drives voting patterns. In our digitalized world, the speed at which information is disseminated means that we are flooded with more causes of worry than ever. But what if there was a type of fear that leads us to trust God more freely, to worship him more exclusively, to follow him more faithfully? The Gospel is a strange paradox in that it both frees us from fear and gives us fear. Join us for our new teaching series, Fear Over Faith, as we discover what it really means to fear the Lord.
