We exist to see zero lives unchanged by Jesus.
SUNDAYS MATTER
If you've never been to The Center Church, joining us for one of our Sunday services is a great place to start. We engage the Scriptures each week, worship through modern music and prayer, share stories of changed lives, and create space to develop relationships. We can’t wait love to meet you.
We offer intentional spaces for your entire family. During the services, your kids (infant-5th grade) are invited to Center Kids where they'll enjoy Jesus-centered teaching, music, games, and a loving team of leaders!
A PEOPLE AFTER GOD’S OWN PRESENCE
OUR STORY
In 2006, Compass Church was planted by a group of Jesus-followers who became passionate about reaching their community. A decade later, Compass was presented with the opportunity to merge with Frontline Church (Plainfield) to continue to move the mission forward. Following the merger, a rebranding campaign and new leadership paved the way for The Center Church name.
Nearly 18 years later, we are still a community of people centered on Jesus and His power to change a life - no matter who you are, where you are from, or what you have done.
Our people
We need each other. If you are looking to grow deeper with Jesus and get to know Center Church, we want to you to join us for CORE. This is a simple 2 hour experience where you can learn more about Center, get to know others, and learn more about our vision and how you can play a role.
Current teaching
Before the fruit, comes the roots. In a world torn by selfish ambition, jealousy and rage - there is an ancient truth that still holds: What you plant, is what you will grow. When the world says, “put yourself first” - love whispers “lay down your life.” As envy takes root in our hearts, we realize joy can’t grow where comparison thrives. Quarrels rage. Chaos stirs. But peace isn’t stumbled upon - it’s cultivated, one act of grace at a time. As our calendars consume our lives, God says, “Wait” - because some fruit only grows in the stillness. And as our roots grow deeper into God’s grace, we learn that gentleness isn’t weakness - it’s strength under control. When all hope feels lost and the silence of God is loud - will you stay rooted? Or will you reach for something else? This isn’t behavior modification. It’s transformation. Rooted deep in the Spirit.
